Salary: £13.73 - £15.77 per hour

Contract Type: Hourly Paid

Location: Paignton, Devon

Are you a creative individual with a passion for performing arts and dance? We are looking for an experienced dance professional to join our small, dedicated team, to deliver the dance element for music and performing arts courses.

As an Associate Trainer Facilitator in Performing Arts/Choreography, you will be working with students on a variety of courses, registered to various awarding bodies, such as UAL, RSL and OCR. This is an interesting role where you will deliver the practical aspects of all the programmes and develop material within various musical and performing arts settings, such as within a rock band setting in practice rooms and in specialist studio spaces.

You will instruct and facilitate learning for students enrolled on a range of programmes, assess students as required, contribute to curriculum development, and maintain good working relationships with both colleagues and external agencies. You will follow approved schemes of work and evidence learner progress through a variety of mechanisms whilst supporting learners in completing assignments and building their portfolios.

The successful candidate will have a relevant degree or vocational qualification, and if not already held, be willing to attain a teaching qualification within a specified timescale. Your experience of teaching/training and assessing, coupled with previous experience in the professional dance industry is essential in this role.
