Job Description

We have an exciting opportunity for two new Technical Trainers within the Technical Training team.

The successful candidates will be dynamic, outgoing, and engaging. They will be passionate about forestry and embrace the opportunity they have been given to inspire and imbue others.

They will work closely with other team members to deliver core forestry skills training to meet strategic objectives.

They may also be called on develop training for other forestry-based subjects and carry out contract monitoring and quality assurance activities.

They will also work closely with Health and Safety colleagues to support and promote strategic objectives.

Key Work Areas
  • Design, develop and deliver learning programmes using a variety of training methods.
  • Be a role model for and provide training to L3 Forest Craftsperson Apprentices.
  • Train and upskill external trainers and assessors.
  • Evaluate training solutions.
  • Develop and maintain expert knowledge and skills in the key subject areas.
  • Support the training system by providing the required pre and post course information.
  • Embrace and contribute to digital learning solutions.
  • Actively engage with colleagues both internal and external regarding their learning requirements and identify learning solutions to their problems.
  • Promote inclusion, diversity, equality, and wellbeing.

The location of this post is ideally at the Cannock Chase Training Centre, however this may be open to negotiation depending on the successful candidate.

The role involves dealing with contacts across the UK, and regular travel with overnight stays which may be up to 100 nights a year away from home.

Training will be provided for the right candidate to ensure they can deliver the full range of forestry subjects.
