SpLD Assessor / Support Teacher / Exam Access Arrangements

Southwark College, part of Newcastle College Group, is looking for a dedicated, creative, and enthusiastic SpLD Assessor to take on the role of assessing learners with SpLD and SEND in relation to exam access arrangements and in compliance with JCQ regulations
In this extremely rewarding role, you will work with Heads of Faculty, Curriculum Managers and Lecturers to advise and support teachers, learning support workers and other colleagues in the College to personalise learning and work effectively with learners with SpLD
In addition, you provide training and support for colleagues and work with managers to develop best practice in supporting learners with SpLD in the College
The post requires candidates with a strong and successful background in working with students with special educational needs and disabilities as well as a commitment to providing best quality learning and support opportunities that enable students to progress, achieve and move successfully into adulthood. To help achieve this, the successful candidate will be working as part of a hardworking, passionate, and supportive team that is committed to providing high quality provision and support and getting the best out of our learners. The role will be based in the Supported Learning Department at Southwark College and will be managed by the Head of Faculty for Supported Learning
