Skills Development Coach-DevOps
Starting Salary from £35,000 (Dependant on experience)
As a Skills Development Coach you will be reporting directly to the Performance Manager. The team is built up of both Trainers and Skills Development Coaches that all specialise in their subject area. A large part of your job will involve working remotely as you schedule regular meetings with your learners in order to track their progress and provide support to them. At time to time, you may need to attend the office for team meetings and attending to your case load.
Skills Development Coaches are required to ensure that learners are prepared for the End Point Assessment (EPA). The learner needs to be aware of each element of the EPA and be ready to pass through the Assessment Gateway. Part of preparing the learner for EPA will mean ensuring that they have collected their portfolio of work throughout their programme and are collecting evidence for their 20% of the job training.
If you’re interested in applying, we’re looking for someone who has:
- A Strong background in Dev Ops and knowledge of common practices
- Experience of technologies such as Ant, Maven, GIT, Jenkins, Selenium, Docker, Puppet
- Significant programme and infrastructure knowledge
- Experience of delivering Training
- Proven track record of successful completion of portfolios, with success rates
- Familiarity with e-portfolio systems such as OneFile
- Experience in supporting Functional Skills and Knowledge of remote and e-learning delivery.
- Knowledge of government funded employment and training programs.
- Knowledge of IT and Digital apprenticeship Standards and Awarding Organisation requirements would be advantageous.
Personal attributes and main responsibilities:
- Good organisational skills are necessary as you will be managing a large caseload of learners and will be tracking their progress throughout their programme.
- Being an excellent communicator is essential, as you will need to communicate with your caseload what tasks they need to complete and provide support where needed if it is unclear to them.
- A professional and polite manner is crucial to this role as you will be visiting clients and learners on behalf of Estio Training and will be an ambassador of the business on these visits and will be required to maintain good working relationships with both clients and learners.
- The ability to work within a team is required as you will be working within a large team of Trainers and Skills Development Coaches to ensure that the learners achieve their certifications.
