The School of Leadership, Management and Marketing, is a key component of the Leicester Castle Business School and offers both undergraduate and postgraduate programmes to over 4,000 students. As an institution, our rapidly growing academic community delivers outstanding learning experience to students. We also have a vibrant research community. The School has two research centres; The Centre for Enterprise and Innovation (CEI - with 5 research clusters) and The People, Organisations and Work Institute (POWI).
Role
As part of our continued growth drive, we are seeking to appoint a part time (0.5 FTE) Senior Lecturer for Apprenticeships and Executive Education on a permanent contract. The successful candidate will be joining a vibrant and diverse team, and will deliver on a portfolio of programmes. These include; Chartered Manager Degree Apprenticeship, Senior Leaders Apprenticeship and bespoke corporate programmes. Deliveries include to a combination of open and closed cohorts such as the NHS, housing associations and retail management specialists. Your ability to contribute to the commercial development of this agenda is of particular significance. The team aims to combines research and scholarly activity in pursuit of teaching excellence.
The salary shown will be pro-rated down to reflect the part time hours.
Ideal Candidate
You should have a track record, preferably on apprenticeship programmes, providing education to learners who have workplace experience. You should also be able to contribute to the school's knowledge base in the areas of Project Management, Operations Management, Management in Healthcare Contexts or Financial Management. However other areas would equally be considered. You should strive towards teaching excellence and demonstrate competence with innovative teaching methods and techniques. You should also have a positive approach to team working, and be willing to take on leadership roles (for modules and programmes, based on experience).
The successful candidate will be required to under-go a basic DBS Check.
