TeacherActive are working with an excellent college in South Tyneside that are requiring a SEND Lecturer in Foundation Studies. The role involves developing, preparing and delivering high quality, individualised education and training programmes to young people with learning difficulties/disabilities to ensure they are able to progress into adulthood through the development of essential skills.
This role would be to support the delivery of the curriculum on a temporary basis, working 12 hours.

Applicants Need To Have
- A Teaching Qualification
- Have excellent specialist knowledge and experience of delivering high quality educational programmes, with meaningful outcomes to young people with a range of Special Educational Needs and Disabilities/Difficulties (SEND)
- Degree in relevant subject area
- Minimum 2 years recent experience of teaching and assessing within the FE sector in particular to those learners with SEND/ASD/MLDD/CLDD/SEMH or who exhibit challenging behaviour.
- Proven track record of helping students meet the outcomes laid out in their Educational Health and Care Plans (EHCPs)
- A creative, innovative approach to teaching
- A real desire to make a positive difference to young adults.
