Job Title: Quality Officer Location: Hybrid WFH, South Yorkshire Salary: £30,000-£38,000 Package: Excellent holiday entitlement, CPD opportunities, health insurance + much more! Role: We’re looking for someone passionate about the quality of maintaining and improving learning standards. The main thrust of the role is to ensure consistent performance against the QIP in line with requirements from Ofsted, ESFA, Prime contractors and other stakeholders. This includes supporting the teaching, learning and assessment across a wide range of qualificaitons.
Duties: - Supporting the quality of teaching, learning & assessment across all programmes through the implementation of the observations of teaching, learning and assessment strategy and curriculum deep dives - To support individuals and teams with development action plans derived from quality monitoring activity outcomes - Based on feedback from learners, employers, observations and IQA sampling themes to be identified and identification of training needs to be reported - To conduct Internal Quality Assurance of Apprenticeship Standards ensuring suitability for gateway and integrity of any certificated qualification being maintained - To support with Internal Quality Assurance activities of Adult Community Learning (ACL) short course programmes and Employability provision - To support the Self-Assessment and QIP process and be instrumental in driving this across the provision - To maintain up to date knowledge of funding streams, qualifications, apprenticeship standards, their delivery, the apprenticeship levy and EFSA funding rules
Desirable Criteria: - Experience of Ofsted inspection and demonstrable understanding of the Education Inspection Framework in the FE and Skills Sector - Relevant assessing, quality assurance and teaching qualifications - Management experience inc project management - Ability to communicate with managers, staff, and stakeholders in an effective way - Experience of working with e-portfolio systems/learner management systems - Experience of quality assurance processes inc observations and feedback to delivery teams
Personal Skills: - An analytical and inquisitive mind determined to provide timely and accurate information as required - Highly organised and good eye for detail - Previous experience in working with training providers and/or colleges - A passion for working with learners and helping them develop - A commitment to supporting and developing staff - To track apprenticeship funding changes, best practice, and competitor benchmarking to make recommendations of how these can be applied. - To be an internal advocate of the qualifications linked to all funding streams within the business - Making suggestions for programme and delivery development and improvements - Be prepared to be flexible and support the team as required
