The Workforce Development Trust group is the parent company to Skills for Health, Skills for Justice, SFJ Awards and People 1st International.

We are a charity governed through a board of trustees and deliver products and services that improve the workforce across a wide range of sectors through our subsidiary brands.

SFJ Awards

SFJ Awards is a regulated awarding organisation in England, Wales, Northern Ireland and Scotland. SFJ Awards is also an Apprenticeship End-Point Assessment Organisation approved by the Education and Skills Funding Agency to deliver End-Point Assessments to apprentices on a growing number of apprenticeship standards.

Job Title: Quality Assurance Officer

Directorate: SFJ Awards

Location: (Hybrid) Sheffield but with some flexibility

Reports to: Quality Assurance & Improvement Manager

Pay: £25,000 - £28,000

Contract: Permanent

Hours: 37.5 hours per week

What is the impact of the role on the business? Allows SFJ Awards to manage approved centres more effectively in terms of quality assurance and customer service. The role will provide additional resource to SFJ Awards and provide resilience to ensure the organisation can function within capacity.

Key business skills necessary for the role? The candidate will need, a keen eye for detail, an understanding of quality assurance and improvement, regulatory understanding, excellent customer service skills, problem solving and solutions based.

What does the daily work look like? Monitoring the QA Inbox, reviewing approved centre queries, supporting learners, processing of various regulatory concerns (sanctions, maladministration, malpractice, quality improvement and complaints). The candidate will also be processing invoice claims from the External Quality Assurer, reviewing and processing Centre, qualification and staff approvals, as well as Quality and Compliance Reports and External Quality Assurance reports.

This job requires 3 days per week in the office. Please consider if you are willing to relocate before applying.
