Hours - Full time 36.25 hours


Salary -£33,504 - £35,616


Location - Stockport


The Trafford College Group (TCG) has an opportunity for an experienced?Management Information (MI) Systems Developer to join the MIS team to help us achieve our vision of unlocking potential and fostering success.


This is an exciting time to join an ambitious and responsive college-based Management Information team. Trafford College Group are seeking to recruit an aspirational Systems Developer who can bring skills, experience and energy to the team.


The Job


We are looking for an experienced systems professional to administer and further develop the College’s systems, data bases and processes in accordance with IT Policies and Procedures in order to meet College quality,?efficiency and compliance objectives, allowing the College to maximise performance and monitor the utilisation of resources.?


Key accountabilities include-


  • To co-ordinate and implement software upgrades to the main MIS systems ensuring compliance with Group policies and procedures?
  • To lead in the implementation in new system installation and links to MIS systems, ensuring compliance with Group policies and procedures?
  • To work with the MIS team to automate manual processes to aid accuracy and reliability of MIS Data?
  • To ensure all MIS systems are effective and efficiency issues are dealt with to allow reliability and compliance of Student Record databases?
  • To lead in the implementation of and support further development of the Group’s data warehouse and Dashboard reporting system?
  • To keep yourself and the Group up to date with, and implement, industry standard best practise for database development and administration

We are looking for an experienced systems professional to assist with and take the lead on a number of related development projects. The successful candidate should have extensive experience of student record and education-based systems, complex database management and system interoperability. You should also have experience supporting the implementation of key business system, scheduling maintenance tasks and driving new innovative data capture and maintenance solutions.
