Job Description

Warrington & Vale Royal College is seeking to recruit a Lecturer in IT. The successful candidate will need to work a minimum of a 0.6 contract, and would currently be required to teach Level 2 and Level 3 IT on Monday to Wednesday at the Warrington campus.

The college is planning to offer the Higher Technical Qualification in software development in 2023, and candidates who are interested in a full-time vacancy would be tasked with preparing for the course delivery, and upskilling where appropriate.

Suitable candidates will have a degree or equivalent in IT or a related subject, a teaching qualification and previous successful teaching experience.

We are looking for an experienced IT Lecturer, ideally from an FE background, with knowledge and/or experience of BTEC level 2 and 3 covering the following curriculum areas:

Level 2: Security and Risk Management, Emerging Technologies, IT Service - Managing IT department, help desk etc, Database Tools and Technologies, Setting up and Configuring PC's, Organisational Data Systems

Level 3: Cloud computing, Enterprise computing, Project Management, Creating Systems to Manage Information (Database), Using Social Media in Business

For the software development course, we are looking for a Digital expert with knowledge and expertise across AI, Cyber security or automation.
