Job Title: Lecturer Health and Social care (to include Nursing and Midwifery)

Location: East London

Contract: Fixed Term to end June 2023

Hours: 36

Salary range: Unqualified £25,484 - £28,440, Qualified £30,055 - £39,735

This position is an excellent opportunity for an enthusiastic and highly enthusiastic Health and Social Care practitioner who has previous experience within Nursing or Midwifery

You will need to have the experience and knowledge to teach on all levels within the Health and Social Care department (to include levels 1 to 3), and have experience teaching across both study programes and adult provision, where you Lead our Access to Nursing and Midwifery fast track programme. You will therefore hold a degree in Nursing/Midwifery, have a teaching qualification, and have associated experience of delivering across a range of Health/Nursing specialisms.

You will be able to support and inspire learners aged 14-18 and 19+ supporting their achievement and progression onto higher level courses or into employment.

The successful candidate will need to have recent experience of teaching and be able to demonstrate good /outstanding in recent lesson observations. They will need to teach and assess on all levels within the Health and Social Care department using a varied range of teaching and learning methodologies and techniques.

The successful candidate will have experience of meeting the needs of learners, to include both 16-18 years old and adults, will be able to work collaboratively as part of a team, and will be able to demonstrate outstanding relationships with external partners and employers generating extensive links with industry. They will have excellent organisational skills, be familiar with awarding body standards and procedures, (to include BTEC/Gateway) and able to maintain outstanding quality assurance.
