Lecturer – Computing and ICT: Programming and/or Databases

Part time post – 18 hours per week

Actual salary in the range of £14,722 - £20,530 per annum including London Weighting

Harrow-on-the-Hill Campus – Teacher Training Provided

HCUC is a merger between Harrow College and Uxbridge College.

The Computing and IT School provides our learners with the knowledge and skills required by the computing industry. We provide an excellent foundation for our learners to progress to the next level including careers in the IT, apprenticeships and Higher Education.

We are seeking a part time Lecturer to join our successful team and deliver across a range of Computing courses, from Level 2 to Level 5, specialising in either Programming and/or Databases.

You will possess a degree in a Computing subject, together with some teaching experience. You will need to have knowledge and experience of at least two of the following areas:

  • Programming (C++, Java, Python, VB.Net)
  • Computer Games Development
  • Animation
  • Database Systems
  • Computer Networking

You should have good communication and interpersonal skills and be able to engage young people aged 16-19. If you do not currently possess an advanced level teaching qualification, you will be supported to obtain this, paid for in full by the College.
