Job Description

OVERALL SUMMARY

To work with the Close Brothers Commercial Finance Learning and Development team supporting the Learning Business Partner and key stakeholders. Accountable for developing the knowledge and skills of internal employees. Responsible for supporting the design and delivery of, learning initiatives, including systems, business processes and soft skills.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Provide first line support and advice for L&D related queries. Ensuring advice is provided is commercial, timely and meets specific business needs.
  • Maintain the Learning Management System, ensuring learning records are up to date and relevant reports are run and produced to support business needs
  • Design, deliver, and evaluate product, process/systems and soft skills learning solutions to employees
  • Produce and maintain new training materials for in-house courses, keeping these updated and version controlled
  • Collaborate with the LBP to proactively measure the continued effectiveness of learning activities, reviewing the quality of learning solutions and the assessment of the ROI for the business
  • Work alongside the wider L&D team, Business Quality & Project teams to transform procedures & user guides into learning materials and training events
  • Provide specialist advice to support across business functions to address learning needs and to assist in building levels of capability
  • Support and deliver the business Induction and on-boarding programme to ensure its effectiveness, timeliness, and relevance to new employees
  • Develop and maintain good working relationships with business subject matter experts to deliver up to date, relevant and accurate product and technical learning solutions
  • Monitor and review the progress of trainees through evaluation questionnaires and discussions with managers
  • Ensure that statutory training requirements across the division are met in a timely fashion
  • Ensure that learning needs for the division are identified and tracked/monitored accordingly
  • Support the Learning and Development Business Partner with the coordination of talent programmes
  • Collaborate with the wider Learning and Development team on learning initiatives where required
Risk & Compliance
  • Ensure that all Governance and Compliance requirements are adhered to and all reporting and reviewing activities required by the Regulatory Bodies are carried out to the standards required.
WE WOULD LOVE TO HEAR FROM YOU IF:
  • Experience of managing & maintaining a Learning Management System
  • Experience of systems/technical training design & delivery
  • Experience of soft skills training design & delivery
  • Experience of partnering senior stakeholders across the business with a confident and credible approach.
  • Strong communication and facilitation skills (face to face and virtual)
  • Ability to work well under pressure with a varied workload to meet deadlines.
  • Ability to deal quickly and calmly with a range of complex demands
  • Able to demonstrate an understanding of the full training cycle: needs analysis, design, delivery and evaluation within a commercial organisation
  • Experience of course development and learning intervention design, including blended learning.
  • Forward thinking with a genuine interest in the latest learning and development practices
  • Experience of engaging and managing external suppliers
  • Experience of managing and maintaining a Learning Management System
IT IS NOT ESSENTIAL BUT IT WOULD BE GREAT IF YOU:
  • Project management experience
  • Salesforce training
  • Experience of Finance services industry
  • Experience using MS packages, such as word, Excel, PowerPoint, Adobe, WebEx
