Learning and Development Partner

We have an exciting opportunity for a Learning and Development Partner to join our Learning and Development team. Reporting to the Learning & Development Lead, this is a new position that will work in partnership with our HR Business Partners to scope, design, and plan delivery of training solutions for over 1,000 people within our support functions. This role could be based in either our Raunds office in Northamptonshire or our Howden office in Yorkshire and will involve travelling to your stakeholders when needed.

In this Learning and Development Partner role you will need the ability to strategically influence at a senior level, manage multiple programmes and deliver within an agile and fast paced environment. You will also be accountable for the successful delivery of your KPIs and building and maintaining excellent working relationships across the organisation.

What you will be doing:

  • Delivering identified activities to develop staff to increase knowledge, skills, and behaviours, resulting in increased performance and engagement.
  • Engaging with senior functional leads, including exec members, to identify and support departmental development needs - both current and future focus.
  • Planning and monitoring professional development and qualification requirements, including evaluation and assessment of chosen training providers.
  • Ensuring that the learning interventions are delivered, to the required quality, in a way that is both engaging and appropriate to the learners' needs and requirements of the Support function.
  • Collating, evaluating, and sharing Learning and Development activity reports at a functional level, to demonstrate progress against agreed goals and map future activity.
  • Communicating with the broader L&D team to keep aligned and on top of objectives.
  • Championing our Learning Management System, to ensure optimum utilisation and 100% compliance completion.
  • Supporting the development of identified talent to fulfil succession pipelines.
  • Quarterly planning of National training offer.
  • Monthly update of training focuses for the Support function and analyse progress.
  • Ensure that all training materials remain up-to-date and are aligned to our market-leading product offering.
What skills and experience we need you to have:
  • Knowledge and experience of Learning Management Systems.
  • Educated to Degree level standard or relevant experience.
  • Experience of partnering with business and HR leaders to develop impactful learning plans.
  • Highly competent in maintaining effective relationships with people at all levels in the business, whilst operating with diplomacy and professionalism.
  • Proven coaching experience and skilled in influencing people and motivating them to change working practices and behaviour.
  • Evidence of successfully facilitating groups of people to achieve defined business outcomes.
  • Experience of using consultancy tools and techniques, for example the use of SWOT, 5 Whys, weighted matrix etc providing costed recommendations and projected impact, return on investment, return of expectation.
  • Breadth and depth of technical competencies in the fields of facilitation, adult learning, and behavioural and cultural change.
  • Proven experience in supporting the delivery of professional qualifications and continuing professional development, including sourcing, and evaluating training providers.
  • Experience of positively incorporating diversity and inclusion into learning and development interventions and processes.
  • Knowledge of the latest learning practice, trends, and emerging thinking.
  • Proven experience of the delivery of in person and virtual instructor led learning.
  • Highly effective at communicating clearly with internal and external stakeholders.
