About the Role:

Reporting the Head of HR, you will be responsible for the effective management and development of the L&D function across a fast paced, chilled foods manufacturing environment.

Key responsibilities include:


  • Developing and implementing learning strategies and programmes, workshops, e-learning, and other training.
  • Evaluating individual and site development needs, and assessing the success of development plans.
  • Leading, coaching, and developing the site training team.
  • Continuing to develop our approach to agile training.
  • Leading the site apprenticeship scheme
  • Working with the Divisional Head of L&D to develop and implement training projects and initiatives.
  • Supporting managers across the business to help them improve their teams.
  • Liaising with external training providers.


About You:


  • Prior experience in an L&D leadership role, ideally in food manufacturing.
  • Demonstrable experience of developing and implementing L&D strategies and improving learning outcomes.
  • People management experience, able to lead and develop teams.
  • Experience of successfully using a wide range of delivery methods such as classroom training, e-learning, workshops, on the job training, coaching and mentoring.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, able to influence and engage with colleagues at all levels.
  • Highly organised, able to plan and prioritise a busy workload.
