Job Description

We’re looking for a Learning and Development Specialist to join us in London, United Kingdom


We have exciting opportunities within our Learning & Development team, as we expand. This role will facilitate behavioural focused learning interventions for colleagues within the UK, Amsterdam and US whilst supporting our operational business units to deliver training that underpins their strategies. In addition, the role will be focused on closing the required capability gaps which will support the business in achieving its goals.


This role involves you to equip our people with the knowledge, practical skills and motivation to carry out their work activities effectively. You'll take a strategic approach to training, assessing the skills and knowledge within Liberty Global and determining what training is needed to grow and retain these skills.


You will also be heavily involved with the delivery of specified training and the facilitation of skills and knowledge transfer, having a direct impact on developing the required mindset and resulting in the overall behavioural development of colleagues and subsequently the drive of organisational performance.


What will you be doing?



  • Supporting the learning and development needs within Liberty Global through regular consultation with people business managers, DE&I team and other business stakeholders.
  • Create and deliver learning interventions that are impactful, that are embedded in developing behavioural and mindset change in line with our L&D strategy.
  • Manage the delivery of training and development interventions
  • Evaluate training and development programmes and share recommendation to L&D Manager
  • Monitoring how effectively learning has been transferred to employees
  • In conjunction with the L&D Manager you will revise programmes as necessary, in order to adapt to changes occurring in the work environment
  • Keep up to date with developments in training by reading relevant journals, going to meetings and attending relevant courses
  • Research new technologies and methodologies in workplace learning and present this research.


Essential Skills & Abilities


We tend to look for people with:



  • Proven experience in Learning & Development
  • Ability to travel around the UK and Amsterdam
  • The curiosity to understand problems and issues and identify solutions
  • Possess the ability to identify training needs and liaise with stakeholders
  • Have experience in designing, delivering, and evaluating learning interventions
  • You can demonstrate results from working on L&D projects
  • You can learn new systems quickly and work under little supervision with a positive attitude
  • Excellent communication skills, demonstrating an ability to deliver content in an engaging way
  • Strong planning and organisation skills, able to multi-task and prioritise and work well to deadlines


Desirable Skills & Abilities



  • Facilitator or trainer qualification (ideally CIPD accredited or equivalent)
  • Member of a Professional Body preferred but not essential
