Job Description

Main purpose of the Job:

To be responsible for Learning and Development across the business and support on Wellbeing and CSR initiatives.

Position in the organisation:

Reports to the Learning and Development Manager; interact with both internal and external stakeholders.


The Learning and Development Officer will be responsible for:
  • To work with the L&D Manager to deliver the Learning Strategy across the business
  • Design, deliver and co-ordinate a wide range of online or face to face learning interventions and events
  • Manage our Learning Management System, supporting online learning solutions and developing the system in line with business requirements
  • Leading on the corporate Induction and supporting with onboarding events
  • Supporting and creating the development of our online learning content
  • Working proactively with internal departments and our leadership team to ensure effective cross team collaboration and communication.
  • Providing support with our ongoing apprenticeship programmes including maintaining the apprenticeship levy and supporting our cohort of apprentices
  • Collect, compile and report on Evaluation of all training delivered
  • To develop and support the Wellbeing and CSR activities, maintaining and building relationships with our charitable partners
  • Communicating and generating interest for support with our wellbeing, CSR and learning initiatives

  • Experience of facilitating training, so great communication skills are essential
  • Strong IT skills to include the PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Microsoft Office, Teams
  • Demonstrates an understanding of learning theories
  • A positive and approachable team member with a real growth mindset
  • Knowledge of Cornerstone would be a bonus!
  • Ability to work as part of a friendly and collaborative team is an essential
