The Learning & Development Manager is accountable for assessing cross-enterprise capabilities and skills and develops and completes programs to build those. The role is the “voice of learning” for the enterprise and implements learning experiences, resulting in business impact.

The Learning & Development Manager is accountable for assessing cross-enterprise capabilities and skills and develops and completes programs to build those. The role is the “voice of learning” for the enterprise and implements learning experiences, resulting in business impact.
Your responsibilities:
Your responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Co-lead development of strategic learning plan and own its execution. Put in place efficient measurement of learning interventions to ensure and demonstrate a positive ROI and aligned increase in capability.
- In-country implementation of appropriate global learning experiences e.g., 6IBs, iSEM or modern marketing.
- Understand and assess capability need relevant to Therapy Area (TA) and functions. Optimally utilize the learning ecosystem to curate and implement learning experiences, resulting in business impact.
- Build an effective partnership with our Managed Service Provider (MSP) to ensure good vendor selection demonstrating effective budget management.
- Work as a strategic business partner with TA heads, functional leads and wide enterprise leaders to fully understand capability gaps and the application to their functional responsibility.
- Act with an enterprise mindset; be agile, responsive, and adaptable as businesses evolve.
- Produce great learning content and influence adult-learning practices across the business. Maintain curiosity for trends in adult-learning external to Novartis and implement across the enterprise where appropriate.

Minimum Requirements
- Experience in a pharmaceutical, or medical, learning & development role (learning qualification a plus)
- Competency in understanding and applying adult learning theory and motivation
- Demonstrates competence in design and delivery of blended learning approaches and is skilled in learner engagement, learning facilitation, learning transfer and impact.
- Has delivered business results across a matrix, decentralized organization demonstrating situational decision making, stakeholder engagement and commercial drive.
- Proven experience of leading changes within a team, function or across an organization
- Proactive clear and engaging communication (verbal and written)
- Collaboration and stakeholder management,
- Demonstrates a customer focused mindset
- Lives or Novartis culture, values, and behaviors.
