Inclusive Learning Assistants

West Suffolk College, Bury St Edmunds

Opportunity to work up to 35 hrs per week - 38 weeks per year_ – Permanent

Pay: £10.99 per hour (including holiday pay). Salary (based on 35hrs and 38 weeks) will be £14,616 per annum.

We are seeking approachable and adaptable individuals to join our evolving Inclusive Learning Team, supporting students who need to overcome barriers to their learning. You will primarily work with students on a 1:1 or small group basis in the classroom, encouraging independent learning and enabling their personal learning targets to be met.

This is a highly rewarding role and would be suited to somebody with great enthusiasm and effective communication skills. The successful candidate will have the ability to relate to young people and/or adults with a range of additional needs, including learning disabilities, mental health needs, social emotional difficulties, and physical care. A recognised ‘Learning Support’ related qualification is desirable, and experience of SEND would be particularly advantageous.
