Head of Customer Engagement

Job Summary
This is an exciting time for Babington as we evolve our Customer Engagement strategy and structure to ensure we’re in the best shape for the future. The Head of Customer Engagement will prioritise your focus on three main areas:
- Continuing to develop Babington's existing relationships, ensuring we really understand our customers culture, business & challenges, and are maximising every opportunity.
- Identifying and winning new business opportunities to ensure our continued growth.
- Leading and developing your team to ensure all understand what’s expected, are delivering / exceeding their targets and representing Babington's values. Whilst working with colleagues throughout Babington to ensure we’re delivering a first-class service.
As such you’ll be an experienced sales professional / account manager who understands and holds funded learning experience and will be aligned to Tech Media and Telco market.
Required Responsibilities
- Lead for all new business sales and current customer engagement activities, across one of our defined market sectors, operating across a portfolio of Babington's strategic accounts.
- Strategically nurture relationships with key decision makers’ and lead the continued development of our trusted relationships, developing a deep awareness of our customers strategic objectives and talent priorities.
- Drive commercially focused contracting and statement of works; and establishing a clear and contracted pipeline of sales across all account relationships.
- Combine your deep expertise of our portfolio with your market and customer knowledge to identify, engage, develop and on-board new business opportunities and integrated business propositions which meet current and future customer needs through a variety of proactive business development approaches, including calls, meetings, presentations and events.
Skills & Experience
- You’ll be a seasoned professional, able to develop partnerships and strong relationships influencing at a senior / executive level, partnering with internal and external stakeholders to make sure Babington’s products and focus are aligned to customers strategic needs and talent strategies.
- You’ll be a highly driven sales leader within funded learning, with a deep understanding of the apprenticeship sales landscape and track record of working strategically with customers to identify opportunities for funded learning.
Proven experience of achieving your own target and ensuring your team all achieve / exceed their targets.
You’ll be a highly effective communicator, capable of engaging people verbally, in writing, via social channels or with presentations.
Your strong influencing and negotiating skills will ensure people see things your way and as you’ll have a strong moral compass, you’ll focus on delivering win / win outcomes.
Have a deep understanding of funded learning solutions and the apprenticeship landscape and understand how to bring this to life for your team and customers.
Competent using a variety of Tech, from Office programmes like Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, Word and Teams to CRM’s and social platforms / sites.
Proven leadership experience in funded learning and apprenticeship sales.
