Job Description
We are looking for a Freelance Steel Fixing Assessor or IQA to support our growing number of apprentices around the UK.
You will visit them on site and via teams/phone to support them through their apprenticeships using an EPortfolio and building evidence to prove competencies towards the apprenticeship standards.
Responsible for delivering the training, skills & knowledge development and assessment of apprentices in the classroom or remotely through virtual learning platforms:
· Plan and deliver effective learning programmes for diverse groups or individuals in a safe and inclusive environment;
· Motivate and inspire learners/apprentices to promote achievement and develop their skills to enable progression;
· Apply appropriate and fair methods of assessment and provide constructive and timely feedback to apprentices on progression and achievement
· Ensure all curriculum staff have the resources in place that meet the company standard to enable the delivery of the courses
· To ensure all course resources meet the requirement of all the apprenticeship standards being delivered
o Assessor Qualification - eg A1, TAQA, CAVA
o Level 3 qualification in Construction or Engineering
o Computer literacy is essential - competent in Word, Excel, Outlook
o You will need to be eligible for an enhanced DBS check
o You will be required to keep training records up to date in line with T3 requirements
o You will be required to attend sites nationally for learner reviews and assessments
o Complete all induction courses annually
o Full UK Driving License, own transport and flexibility to travel is essential
o Excellent communication and time management skills
o Ability to prioritise and multi task to ensure tasks are completed in a timely manner
