Job Description

Permanent, Part Time 22.5 hours per week, Term Time Only 36+2 weeks per year

Salary: £13,536 per annum (Full time equivalent £25,623 per annum)

Campus: Chippenham & Lackham with cross College travel

About The Role

This role requires an experienced Exam Access Arrangements (EAA) Assessor to assist the Specialist Co-ordinator in administering EAA testing within the college network (multi-site). You will be required to:

  • Contact and arrange testing for EAA those students identified through the referral process.
  • Manage your own diary and prioritise your own workload.
  • Complete Form8 reports, filenotes and GDPR forms in line with JCQ regulations.
  • Maintain and keep accurate records including recording information on relevant spreadsheets and forms.
  • Promote and be able to demonstrate assistive technology to help promote independence in learners.
  • Work with the Specialist Co-ordinator to review processes and make improvements to the EAA process.

Our team make a contribution towards positive outcomes for disadvantaged and vulnerable students, and line manage a highly effective team within the SEND department.

About You

You will have a Postgraduate Level 7 qualification to be able to complete EAA assessments.

You will have a 'Can do' attitude, flexible in your working and will be able to travel between our four campuses.

You will be an excellent communicator able to interact with all levels of staff and students across college, showing empathy and compassion when communicating EAA to students.

An independent thinker and use of your own professional judgement when assessing students, complying with all college policies and procedures and ensuring mandatory training is up to date.

You will high level of Safeguarding awareness and engage in CPD and training in order to develop knowledge within your own specialist area.
