Hours of work: 18.5 hours per week
Duration: Fixed term until 31 July 2023.
Salary: £13,009 per annum (actual salary for 18.5 hours)
Location: Wakefield College & Castleford College
We have a fantastic opportunity for a Curriculum Support Mentor to join our passionate Foundation Learning team, supporting learners with additional learning needs. You will work with small groups or individual learners to set personal targets and plan activities that will support them to make the progress they need to meet these targets. Targets may be around independent living skills, personal and social development, community awareness and transitioning on to further study. Using College systems, you will plan and schedule meetings with individual students to monitor and review their progression and achievement.
You should hold GCSE A\*- C / 9 â 4 or Level 2 equivalent in English and maths and have experience of supporting students within an educational environment. In addition, you should have excellent communication and organisational skills. We are looking for someone who is supportive, engaging and has the ability to motivate and inspire young people to succeed and achieve their full potential.
