Team: Corndel Advance


Package: Up to £85k


Location: London based with 2-3 days in the office per week

The role


Corndel has grown rapidly since its inception in 2016 through high-quality leadership and digital training programmes for the UK’s largest corporates, funded by the Apprenticeship Levy. Our next-stage growth plans include expanding our products and solutions to meet large corporate leadership and data training needs on a global scale. Corndel will lead the training industry with innovative, high-impact, best-in-class programmes and products.


As Director, Commercial Strategy, you will develop the strategic plan and business model that drives accelerated growth of our fast-growing commercial training business, Corndel Advance. You will report to the Managing Director of Corndel Advance, and work closely with the Chief Revenue Officer, the Chief Executive Officer, and the wider Corndel senior leadership on all aspects of the strategy and execution.


This is the opportunity for a strategy expert to apply their skills and experience to a high-growth business creating a positive social impact. You will be at the forefront and empowered to deliver our plans.


Pathways from this role could lead to other strategic initiatives across Corndel and routes into our leadership team.


Responsibilities Include


  • Develop and deliver the Corndel Advance business strategy and plan, working closely with Corndel’s senior leadership team.
  • Create the detailed business case and plan and implement commercial strategies focused on accelerating growth
  • Create and execute strategic plans on product development and business development, and go-to-market strategies
  • Mobilise a cross-functional project team and lead the execution of the strategy.
  • Drive a strategic vision to the launch of new products and solutions.
  • Work collaboratively across the business to generate commercial growth.


Experience And Skills


Essential:


  • Strategic thinker with the ability to be able to help turn strategy into reality.
  • Confident developing a commercial/financial business case.
  • Experience of leading innovative projects or programmes.
  • Intellectually curious and excited by the potential of technology to enhance education and training.
  • Collaborative, team worker, comfortable working in a matrix structure.
  • Excellent written and verbal communicator.
  • Thrives working at pace and to deadlines.
  • Exhibits high energy and commitment.
  • Passionate about the power of education and training.


Desirable:


  • Professional services / consultancy trained.
  • Familiar with business-to-business corporate sales.
  • Knowledge and experience of leading educational technology and tools.
  • Experience of workforce and people development in large corporate settings.
  • Knowledge and experience of digital transformation.
