Overview Of The Role


To coordinate and continuously improve the development, coordination, and quality of all its Apprenticeship programmes both internally across the Group and externally with all of its employers, continuously improving standards across its employer contracts and with the ESFA.


Responsibilities include planning, organising and improving all aspects of contract delivery whilst working collaboratively with all other Group functions.


TYPE OF CONTRACT: Permanent


SALARY: £40000 - £45000 Annually


LOCATION: Remote with limited travel as required

Responsibilities


  • Oversee the quality of delivery of eTraining apprenticeship programmes and contracts with employers.
  • With the Business Development team, ensure that Apprenticeships are set up on the required ESFA systems and Portals and that the required processes and systems are in place for recruitment.
  • Develop programme and contract evaluation frameworks to assess the strengths of programmes and contracts and to identify areas for improvement.
  • Develop and maintain management systems and procedures of programmes and new Apprenticeship projects in line with individual audit and reporting regulations, working closely with the Group Quality Team.
  • Oversee the collection and maintenance of data and records of programmes for statistical and reporting purposes according to ESFA funding requirements and the Groups financial regulations.
  • Coordinate claims monitoring information and reports as required by the ESFA and other external funding bodies and clients, supporting the Head of Service.
  • Liaise with specialist technical experts to ensure a rich, engaging and bespoke curriculum offer and drive up delivery improvements across all apprenticeship contracts, ensuring they are fully compliant to both ESFA and Ofsted regulatory standards.
  • Identify effective and lean processes to ensure programmes/contracts operate within approved budgets, provide value for money, monitoring and evaluating improvements as programmes progress.
  • Identify and evaluate the risks associated with programme activities and with the Head of Service, take appropriate action to improve, control and mitigate all risks.
  • Monitor programme activities, and in line with contract management processes conduct an annual evaluation in line with the Group Self Assessment process.
  • With Group central functions, co-ordinate and facilitate any internal or external review or evaluation of programmes, reporting evaluation findings and recommend changes to enhance programmes as appropriate.
  • Collaborate with the bidding and marketing teams to promote etrainings engagement with learners and employers.
  • Embed a culture of continuous improvement with all staff across eTraining Apprenticeship programmes and in line with the Groups vision, mission, purpose and values.
  • Participate in the Groups appraisal process and take responsibility for identifying your own professional and career development needs.
  • To maintain and achieve at least an Ofsted Grade 2 for all Apprenticeship delivery as a result of the programme of continuous improvement practice in place.
  • With the Head of Service and IQAs, support the development of KPis for all staff involved in the design and delivery of Apprenticeship programmes.
  • Monitor all Apprenticeship delivery through the published Apprenticeship Accountability Framework.
  • Develop a programme of staff CPD to drive up the quality of Teaching, Learning and Careers progression


Qualifications / Education


  • Degree level or at least a level 5 teaching and learning qualification


Knowledge / Experience


  • 5 years of experience in developing and improving the quality of Apprenticeship programmes.
  • Essential to have either lead or heavily supported Ofsted inspections involving Apprenticeships in the last 3 years.
  • Significant experience in planning and monitoring the apprenticeship curriculum
  • A very good understanding of embedding Safeguarding, Prevent and British values into the curriculum
  • A very good understanding of embedding cross cutting principles into the curriculum
  • A highly developed understanding of equality, diversity and inclusion and its impact on all learners and employers.
  • Significant experience of quality monitoring across educational programmes
  • Significant experience of driving improvement through the effective monitoring of Teaching and Learning observations.
