Putting Apprentices and Employers first

Teesside University is an ambitious and enterprising university for a focused and pragmatic global new generation. Focused on making a real difference to the lives of people and the success of businesses and the economy.

Our mission at Teesside University Department of Apprenticeships is to enable businesses to attract and develop the talent they need for sustainable growth; deliver professional skills to support the economy and widen access to higher education to transform lives and futures, putting apprentices and employers first.

Teesside University has an established, Ofsted ‘Outstanding’ apprenticeship offer, training thousands of apprentices in partnership with hundreds of employers, focusing on the critical skills needs of the region. We have bold ambitions to further diversify our portfolio; increasing opportunities for employers to invest in their workforce and to identify and develop talent pipelines within their industries.

The Opportunity

We are looking for a Development and Partnerships Lead to join our growing Apprenticeship Team, dedicated to driving the professional apprenticeship agenda locally and nationally. This is an exciting new role and opportunity to develop your career within the recently formed Department of Apprenticeships.

Your responsibilities will include delivering new employer acquisition from pipeline generation as well as developing existing client relationships, driving growth of our apprenticeship business. You will be responsible for building and executing compelling value propositions, presenting often complex information in a simple and effective way to employers and businesses of all sizes.

You will provide key account management, support and direction to employers; working as part of a cross-departmental team to ensure employers receive exceptional standards of customer service.

You will be passionate about building new relationships and have the motivation to go above and beyond to build the Teesside University Apprenticeship brand. You must have a desire to enable social mobility and the development of opportunities to enable people to access apprenticeships as part of the levelling up agenda.

Although a working knowledge of the apprenticeship market is preferred, we are interested in speaking to people who understand the needs of employers, know what great customer service looks like and enjoy delivering on targets.

We offer as range of exceptional benefits including access to funded Professional Development and generous annual leave entitlement
