Some of the typical duties involve monitoring daily communications within the finance team and answering any queries. The areas that the accounts assistant will cover are:

Accounts Receivable

  • Tracking incoming payments for international students
  • Recording and reconciling all incoming financial transactions received
  • Issuing invoices and receipts to the students for money received
  • Resolving outstanding payments / queries and sending statements
  • Credit control duties with regards to outstanding dues

Accounts Payable

  • Communicating with relevant suppliers to process invoicing or payment queries
  • Attaching the correct documentation to invoices and reconciling purchase orders to invoices received
  • Taking care of administrative tasks, such as correspondence, filing and printing as and when required

Monthly Payroll

  • Assist managers with the Monthly Payroll duties

Expertise Required:

  • Good communication skills both written and verbal
  • Basic bookkeeping and accountancy skills
  • Computer literacy and a working knowledge of accounting is advantageous but not required
  • Ability to work with complex Excel Spreadsheets
  • Understanding of financial systems and processes
  • Strong analytical skills to evaluate financial data and make recommendations
  • Strong interpersonal skills

Job Types: Permanent, Full-time

Salary: £22,000.00-£28,000.00 per year

Schedule:

  • 8 hour shift

Ability to commute/relocate:

  • London: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

Experience:

  • Accounting: 2 years (required)
  • finance and accounting: 2 years (preferred)

Work authorisation:

  • United Kingdom (required)

Work Location: Holborn Campus WC1R 4BH

Salary: £22,000.00-£28,000.00 per year

Schedule:

  • 8 hour shift
  • Monday to Friday
  • Weekend availability

Education:

  • A-Level or equivalent (preferred)

Experience:

  • customer service: 1 year (preferred)
