About your role:

We’re looking for a Fleet Vehicle Technician & Driver to ensure our college vehicles are safe, clean, and ready for use. You’ll play a key role in transporting students for educational visits, maintaining our fleet, and carrying out minor repairs. This is a hands-on role that combines driving duties with practical maintenance tasks.

What You’ll Do

· Drive college vehicles for educational visits and other transport needs.

· Carry out daily and monthly vehicle checks, reporting faults promptly.

· Ensure vehicles are clean, tidy, and well-presented at all times.

· Complete minor mechanical repairs within your qualifications and experience.

· Maintain stock of oils, fluids, and spare parts.

· Check compliance items such as road tax, permits, and first aid kits.

· Adhere to all legislation, including driver’s hours and Tachograph rules.

What We’re Looking For

· Essential:

o Full UK Driving Licence with Business Insurance

o Good practical skills in vehicle maintenance

o Strong communication and people skills

o Ability to work under pressure and with attention to detail

o Previous customer care experience

o Knowledge of Health & Safety practices

· Desirable:

o PCV Licence (D Licence)

o Digital Tachograph Card

o City & Guilds Motor Vehicle/Engineering qualification

o Previous motor vehicle repair experience
