Job Title: Trainer

Reports to: Club Manager

Status: Full Time/Non-Supervisor/Non-Exempt

Job Summary

Responsible for running the Planet Fitness group fitness program (PE@PF). This includes assisting new members in achieving their fitness goals by designing simple workout programs and instructing them on proper equipment use.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Conduct and manage the Planet Fitness PE@PF program, including scheduling.
Consult with members about their fitness goals and instruct on safe and proper equipment use.
Develop creative strategies to promote PE@PF class sign-ups.
Create bi-weekly exercise updates.
Meet class requirements based on club size and member traffic.
Assist at the front desk with activities such as answering phones, checking members in, signing up new members, giving tours, and updating member information.
Respond promptly and professionally to member questions and concerns, escalating as needed.
Maintain the cleanliness and appearance of the club.

Minimum Qualifications

Honesty and strong work ethic
Excellent communication and organizational skills
Passion for fitness and health
Punctuality and reliability
Exceptional customer service skills, with a positive and professional attitude
Active fitness trainer certification

Physical Demands

Standing and walking at least 75% of the shift
Talking in person or on the phone at least 75% of the shift
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. less than 30% of the time
