Clinical Nurse Trainer

Location: South West England Salary: Competitive + Benefits Contract: Full-Time, Permanent

Due to continued growth of the service, we are looking for an experienced Registered Nurse to join our Patient Solutions team as a Clinical Nurse Trainer.

This is a field-based role supporting patients, carers, and healthcare professionals across the South West of England. You'll deliver clinical education, support competency development, and provide hands-on patient support in both face-to-face and virtual settings.

Please note:

This role requires regular travel across the South West, including occasional overnight stays. A full UK driving licence is essential.

Key Responsibilities

Deliver clinical training and education to healthcare professionals and clinical teams
Support patients, carers, and families with homecare education and ongoing clinical support
Develop and maintain evidence-based training materials and documentation
Monitor clinical competencies and support safe clinical practice
Complete accurate reporting, documentation, and KPI activity tracking
Support audits, service reviews, and continuous improvement initiatives
Ensure compliance with all clinical, regulatory, and safeguarding standards
Escalate clinical concerns and adverse events appropriately

Requirements

Essential

Current NMC registration
Minimum 2 years post-registration experience
Degree-level qualification or equivalent
Full UK driving licence
Strong communication and organisational skills
Ability to work independently and manage a varied workload
Confident using digital systems and virtual platforms

Desirable

Experience in CVAD or Parenteral Nutrition
Clinical training, coaching, or mentoring experience
Teaching qualification such as AET or Train the Trainer
Community or homecare experience
