IT Support Technician Apprentice
Location: Ellesmere Port

Bagnalls, with over 150 years of industry expertise, is looking for a motivated and enthusiastic IT Support Technician Apprentice to join our friendly and supportive team based at our North West Office in Ellesmere Port.

The Role:

As an IT Support Technician Apprentice, you’ll have the chance to gain hands-on experience while working alongside industry professionals. You’ll be responsible for providing first-line IT support, assisting with hardware and software configurations, and ensuring smooth IT operations across the business. As part of your apprenticeship, you’ll undertake an Information Communications Technical – Level 3 course, with full training and support provided.

Your Responsibilities:

IT Support

Provide first-line IT support and escalate issues when necessary
Monitor, prioritise, and log support tickets
Offer remote assistance to users when required
Handle hardware faults and provide solutions

Hardware Support

Set up and configure loan equipment, desk phones, smartphones, printers, and other ICT devices
Manage asset tracking for all hardware across the business

Software Support

Ensure the smooth operation of Microsoft 365 and other business-critical software
Support additional software as required by the business

Branch Support

Install and troubleshoot new equipment at branches
Resolve branch IT issues remotely or on-site

ICT Projects & Documentation

Assist with ICT projects across the business
Maintain up-to-date IT documentation

What We’re Looking For:

We’re looking for a dedicated and eager-to-learn individual who is excited about starting a career in IT. The ideal candidate will have:

A strong interest in IT and technology
Excellent communication skills
A positive attitude with a proactive approach to learning
The ability to work effectively as part of a team
A Level 4 or equivalent in GCSE Maths & English
