Responsibilities

Deliver training to Fabrication and Welding apprentices either on-site or through work-based assessment in the workplace
Assess learner progress and evidence against apprenticeship standards
Provide clear, constructive feedback
Support learners with both academic and pastoral needs
Build positive relationships with employers and workplace mentors
Maintain accurate learner records using the e-portfolio system
Contribute to quality assurance and continuous improvement activities

Essential Skills

Relevant industry experience in Fabrication and Welding
A recognised teaching or assessing qualification (e.g. TAQA, A1, teaching qualification), or willingness to work towards one
Strong communication and organisational skills
Ability to motivate and support learners at different stages of their apprenticeship
Understanding of apprenticeship standards and vocational learning

Desirable Skills

Experience in an on-site tutoring or work-based assessor role
Knowledge of health & safety and industry compliance requirements
